The Hottest State

Tonight at work I served the sweetest boy ever. He was so cute and polite, and at the end of the meal, he asked me to go see a movie with him. Unfortunately, I had to turn him down because A) I was at work and B) he was about four.

I was just at school and someone asked me if I was graduating today. "No," I replied, "I'm actually dropping out."

You see, I've decided not to take summer courses so that I can work full-time and generally have a more enjoyable summer. I have been so stressed out and in need of a break lately... And this is the perfect solution.

I have all the time in the world to get my last two units of credit. I'd rather take my time and enjoy it while it lasts.

Last night I stayed up until about 4:30 in the morning reading my old diaries and looking at things I have saved... I think I had much more drama in my life in high school.

Q: How many bloggers does it take to change a light bulb?

A: Two -- one to change it while the other apologizes for the recent lack of illumination and explains that they've been really busy lately.

I'm not too busy right now though... All of my roommates are at work and I'm home alone. I've done a lot of laundry, called my parents, cleaned my room and cooked supper. Now I'm ready for them to be home.

I'm not sure when it happened, but somewhere along the way I developed a strong aversion to being alone. I don't like it at all.

But I hear Muffin yelling "HELLO!!!", so I guess this means I'm not alone anymore. They're all home!! Yay!

I've recently come to a decision that may seem shocking to some of you.

I'm giving up the drink.

Sociables are fine, but I'm going to try not go drinking-to-get-drunk anymore. Lately, my stomach hasn't been appreciating the beer, margaritas, or rye & ginger. Not at all. In fact, my stomach is telling me "STOP OR I WILL KILL YOU". At least, that's what it feels like it is telling me.

This is only the beginning of the summer, so I'm not sure how long this plan will stay in effect, but I'll give it a try.
