Remember that paper I was writing in the last post? With just 40 minutes until it was due, I finished it... Just as I was going to go back and format, the power in the computer lab shut off and came back on. I breathed a sigh of relief, as I had just saved my paper...

Then Liz told me about this program on the computers at school. You can save things to the hard drive, but when the computer shuts down, it erases everything that was saved.

Do you see where this story is going?

I had only saved it there. I didn't back it up on a disk or email it to myself.

The entire paper is gone. Lost. Never to be retrieved.

I ran to my professors office, had a minor breakdown and got an extension. Even still, today really, really sucks.

However, at least I'm not a porn star.
